I went to work my BS 2:30 AM shift this morning and to my surprise they fired me and trespassed me from property.  It was only a matter of time anyhow.  I have been so over that club for like a year.  I think I just needed a push out the door.  I feel like I can finally breathe again.  Working there is one of the most stressful places I’ve ever worked at and sometimes I think it’s easy to get caught up.  But I’m glad it’s over.  So my blog immediately got back to them, and it offended them and they fired me, so I see my blog was actually effective at completing the purpose intended.  Freedom of speech! Don’t you love the internet?

So it’s clear that by 5 am when John is sweating and his eyes are black and pupils big as dimes that he’s coked out.  I think that part is what really pissed him off because he cared to emphasize on that.  I don’t know what his problem really is.  I know a handful of girls at the Rhino who dated him.  One of the girl’s who’s not my friend anymore so I will care to mention her name, Heather Stonehill said she use to date him 7 years ago when he was supposedly “sweet.”  She admits he is completely coked out and fucked up now.  A few other girl’s as well have said some horrible things about him such as being coerced into sex or losing their shift.  That one’s gone around a lot.  I’ve heard from hosts and employees at Rhino that he pimps certain girls.  Which seems apparent because he obviously has his favorites and allows certain girls to leave early with his VIP customers which I have personally witnessed myself.  One time one of his VIPs said he straight up wanted a BJ.  I said no, but he said he’d still get a $200 dance from me.  Then John had a host remove me from the situation, bring one of his own girls, and messed up my money.   Sounds completely sketchy to me.  Everyone knows John has his “girls.”

So it’s no secret that John is shady.  If you google his name or Spearmint Rhino and read strip club forums or Yelp, you’ll pretty much hear the same thing I am telling you.  The club is nasty.  John is an asshole.  I can’t believe they would hire such a dirt bag to run the place.  I mean I thought Kekau had some sense.  He seems so nice.  He’s from Hawaii too.  But this is some of the stuff I came up with.

My Yelp review. “If you work here you know it’s one of the rare hot spots in vegas and you pay a high $80 fee.  But with the economy being bad and all they have hired too many girls.  The top girl’s have left because it isn’t worth it anymore, and the prostitutes have come in.  Yeah it might be good for guys if you can get a little extra blow job with your dance.  But this place isn’t what it use to be.  It’s shady.  The managers are coked out.  They only care who lines their pockets, so if you’re not spending at least $1000 when you go there, you’re nobody and nobody will give you attention.  Especially if you don’t tip 20% (2-400$ on top of an already $1/2k tab).  The girls seem friendly until you only want that $20 dance.  If you’re not getting a VIP $200+ then they get mad.  $20 dances are frowned upon.  Some are so aggressive they  try to drag you in a $400 VIP as soon as you walk in the door without even tleling you.  There is an older body builder russian girl who always stands at the door with her friends and drag them in.  Watch out for the girls who stand around outside the VIP rooms too.
This club is way expensive.  Door charge went up from $30 to $40, $50 on some nights.  The girls arent’ hot like they use to be.  And they’re way to aggressive.  Try somewhere more chill like Paradise, Ricks , or Sapphire.  There is bound to be a handful of pretty girls, you can pick your f avorite, and I’m sure they’ll be friendlier.”

What ever happened to Lou?  I miss Lou.  He was so respectful, and reasonable.  When John screwed up my shift, he was understanding that John was an asshole for letting that customer run off with my money that one time, and allowed me to work when it was convenient on his shift.  He understood I had evening classes, and my little girl to take care of.  Then Torren took over his shift.  What a down grade.

As for Kekau.  I don’t really know him and I don’t have much to say about him.  He seems to stay out of the mix.  As for his club, I hope it gets shut down because it’s disgusting working there.  I’ve complained about girls getting finger banged and walking around grabbing guys cocks all night and it never stops.   The same girls still work there and have worked there for years.  I feel bad for the innocent girls getting arrested for bs things like asking guys if “they want to have a good time”  or “have some fun.”  They should be arresting girl’s giving blowjobs and going back to hotels after work.  Those are the real girls.  But I got to be honest with you, they have never really enforced anything at the rhino.  I was shocked when I started working there 3 1/2 years ago.  In Hawaii there is no lap dancing or touching and I am not use to the touching.   I still am to this day uncomfortable with it all.  I get really upset when everyone else around me is doing it, and it’s expected out of me.  And when they do it and you ask them not to, the hosts don’t do anything about it.  They just want their tip.  If you ask me, these guys are working off the sweat of OUR backs.  You won’t get a tip from me.  NO sir.

So I heard about girls suing for strip clubs wrongfully treating them as employees without benefits or pay.  I’ve heard of lawsuits such as the “Glitter Gulch” that were unsuccessful.  I think there is a large enough roster in Spearmint Rhino and such a high turnover of girls who probably won’t ever work there again.  If we got them all together I’m sure we’d have a strong case at suing Rhino.  I’m sure there’s about 10,000 girls on roster and only 30% of them actually work there.  It’s something I’d love to look into since I know I’ll never be going back there any time soon.  Girls who work there regularly will be afraid to be in the lawsuit because they won’t want to be persecuted, however I’m sure there’s a whole bunch of ex employees willing to be a part of it.

I decided to do a little more research.  I looked into the owner of Spearmint Rhino’s, John L. Gray.  I remember a few years ago I did a research paper on the company.  He is pretty much banned from California from what I hear. I read some court documents that he went under other aliases, spent time in jail for writing nearly 1/2 a million dollars in bad checks, and supposedly killed somebody in the 80s.  I heard somewhere that he is banned from Vegas, which is why the Rhino is privately owned by K-Kel industries, but he is still on the board.  In England he is supposedly opening up a handful of clubs and gathering money from investors.  The news in England have dramatically attacked his investment campaign. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8268288090447061044#  Supposedly the presentation is impressive, but be not fooled, as he is just scamming people for money and you will never see a penny on your investment.  I researched more into this a few days ago.  It shocked me.  From a political view, I thought I didn’t want to work put money in this scum bags pockets.

Supposedly he is trying to get on the stock market in UK but I rather highly doubt that will happen with his Felonial background.  So…So it is even rumored that he has faked death certificates to clear his credit.  What a fraud!  His paperwork in England to get licensed has incorrect birthdates which questions the validity of his licensing.  Did you know that John Gray Defrauded the military and spent 6 months for fraud against the government, embezzlement, and conceiling weapons?  Now you do.  How unpatriotic?  Now he is in England because he can’t cut it in America.

Mr Gray has just bought a mansion in Buckinghamshire for more than £1m. He owns two Mercedes, a Cessna 421 plane and boasts ownership of a Gulfstream G4 private jet and a 55-ft boat. He says his personal wealth here is around $2m (£1.25m).

The club has had a number of recent setbacks. Two weeks ago, a waitress from the Tottenham Court Road club won £60,000 in a sex discrimination case. The pregnant Miss Samantha McGaw, 27, wanted to wear a less revealing outfit at the club but bosses refused. She claimed that dancers were referred to by male colleagues as “mingers” and “wildebeest” and that managers allegedly used weekly planning meetings to discuss whom they would like to sleep with.

Interesting.  I wish somebody would put a clean case together and bust his ass from all the stories that I’ve heard.
